What is Invisalign®?
- Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten your teeth
without braces.
- Invisalign® uses a series of clear removable aligners
(pictured to the left) to straighten your teeth without metal
wires or brackets.
- Invisalign® has been proven effective in clinical research
and in orthodontic practices nationwide.
How Does Invisalign® Work?
- You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing
them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
- As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your
teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they
have straightened to the final position your dentist has prescribed.
- You'll visit your dentist about once every 6 weeks to ensure
that your treatment is progressing as planned.
- Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average
number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30,
but both will vary from case to case.

Your specific invisalign case includes:
- Pre-case consultation with Invisalign (Clincheck) to ensure
your completed case is accurate with our desired bite.
- Follow through appointments - as many as needed to complete
treatment.
- Any additional aligners that may be required to finalize your
treatment.
- Follow-up bite analysis with study models and specific records
to ensure your case is completed.
- "Touch-up" bonding (composites) to finalize your smile.
- Teeth whitening gel - as many as needed to whiten your smile.
Undergoing Invisalign treatment is one of the best investments
patients can make. Patients love knowing that they are creating
straighter and whiter teeth. I know that by specifically designing
your personal Invisalign case, we are creating a more stable and
balanced bite for you. This helps reduce the likelihood for having
you undergo more treatment in the future. |
